Food Poisoning Is The Worst

Following Halloween, I had several plans for the weekend. I would be productive and put up our outside Halloween decorations, get our Fall and Christmas decorations out, clean up the workshop, and finish the measurements on the Reputation tombstone to post to Patreon.

Unfortunately, something I ate gave me food poisoning, which ground every plan I had to an immediate halt for more than a day as whatever it was worked its way out of my system. My plans are now behind because I lost over a day to food poisoning. While taking care of yourself and getting the rest needed when you get sick is good, it’s not good to wallow how far behind it made you. Wallowing in it will not progress any plans or put them further behind.

I try to get as much rest as possible when I get sick. Rest helps me recuperate and get back to getting things done. In the end, I get more done by resting first and then getting back to it than if I were to try to press through. Otherwise, I would be sick longer and not get much done.

My best advice is to avoid getting food poisoning. Since that isn’t achievable, if and when you do get sick with food poisoning or illness, take the time you need to get better. Both you and the things you want to do will be better for it.
